Present and Future

Art Music has only just opened, and we have a temporary problem with space. Whilst further building work is being carried out upstairs, we are concentrating on guitars (downstairs), and hope to display pianos and paintings in early spring next year (2006).

We currently have around 60 acoustic, classical, flamenco, baritone and arch-top electric guitars for sale, and will be increasing the number, range and diversity of guitars in the new year.

We pride ourselves on having highly unusual instruments such as baritone acoustic and baritone classical guitars, many of which are hand-made, and on having some highly desirable as-new and vintage guitars, some of which are collectors’ items. We have plans to stock some very unusual guitars indeed, such as Burrell ‘curvy’ guitars, guitar ouds, flamenco and classical hybrid electrics, and more. Watch this space!

When the building work upstairs is completed, we will be able to use some of the downstairs space to display pianos. These will be high-quality restored intruments with unusual and beautiful cases, including uprights with inlaid panels in contemporary Art-Noveau marquetry.

Also, once the upstairs work is completed, we will have some space to display stunning contemporary paintings by professional artists.

Prices of guitars start from around £200 for good entry-level classical and £250 for good entry-level acoustic instruments, up to £3,650 for hand-built Concert Classical guitars.
